Engineering Intern | Gasser Chair

The Tone:
This is an internship at Gasser Chair, located in Youngstown, OH. Gasser Chair is a recognized leader in the design and manufacturing of high-quality seating for the gaming and hospitality industries, partnering with well-known brands to deliver custom solutions. This role offers hands-on exposure to how engineering directly supports manufacturing in a real-world production environment. You will work on projects that directly impact how our products are built, documented, and delivered.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (20–25 hours per week)
• Location: On-site, Youngstown, OH
• Mission: Support the Engineering team with technical documentation, process improvement, and product-related initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and accuracy.
• Tech Stack: CAD software

What You’ll Actually Do
• Update: Review and update engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and clarity for production.
• Document: Assist in preparing and refining vendor documentation for parts and components used in manufacturing.
• Organize: Organize and maintain engineering files, prints, and technical data for accessibility and record-keeping.
• Improve: Support the development and improvement of process documentation for manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to validate data and requirements for various product initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Possesses a strong interest in manufacturing, product design, or engineering processes.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience required, but must have a basic understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, analytical mindset with problem-solving ability, and effective communication skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with CAD software is preferred.
