The Tone:

This role is crucial for building and optimizing content safety systems, which involves leveraging advanced models to enhance review efficiency, control risk, and build user trust on the platform. The intern will engage in impactful projects, gaining practical skills and a deeper understanding of content safety within a global tech company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Moderation Optimization: Assist in revamping the Human Moderation queue, supporting product design and execution for task allocation, priority, processing efficiency, and moderator experience in manual review.
• Metric Development: Assist in building and refining metric frameworks for review efficiency, quality, and operational collaboration, monitoring performance, and supporting strategy iteration.
• LIVE Safety Contribution: Participate in the analysis, design, and iteration of LIVE Safety product features and workflows to strengthen content safety and user experience.
• System Identification: Identify risk points, workflow bottlenecks, and product opportunities within moderation systems using data analysis, case studies, and business feedback.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in computer science, analytics, Information Technology/System, or a related discipline, with a foundational understanding of safety, product management, or product design.
• Experience: Ability to commit to working 5 days a week for at least 6 months.
• Skills: Basic technical proficiency with analytical tools and a strong data sense, along with good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Bonus: Experience in Trust & Safety, moderation, LIVE, or risk control; exposure to AI/ML-driven detection or recommendation systems, including understanding their limitations in adversarial or real-time contexts.
