O&M Intern | Standard Solar

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Standard Solar, located in an office setting with travel to local jobsites. Standard Solar is a growing company dedicated to building and overseeing a robust portfolio of solar assets. This role provides essential support to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) business, ensuring optimal production and performance of solar systems. The intern plays a crucial part in maintaining system efficiency and supporting the O&M Manager’s daily tasks, with a potential path to an Operations Analyst position.

• Mission: Optimize the performance and production of Standard Solar’s portfolio of solar assets by supporting daily O&M operations.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint, Data Acquisition System (DAS), Sprocket, Timberline

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Manage the transition and organization of historical O&M/Asset Management data from Microsoft OneDrive to SharePoint.
• System Monitoring: Learn to monitor solar systems using the Data Acquisition System (DAS) and take corrective actions for alerts to optimize portfolio performance.
• Scheduling Support: Assist in scheduling reactive repairs, preventative maintenance, and commissioning crews for all related warranty and maintenance work.
• Workflow Processing: Generate and process quotes, work orders, and invoices using Sprocket and Timberline databases.
• Performance Analysis: Review portfolio performance results, compare them to modeled production, and conduct troubleshooting and optimization analysis for underperforming systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing a BS/MS degree with knowledge and interest in the renewable power industry.
• Experience: Possess a current valid driver’s license or provide own transportation, with the ability to travel to job sites for work order close-outs.
• Skills: Analytical and logical reasoning, problem solving and researching, time management and organizational skills, data management and organization.
