Print Production Facility Associate | Staples

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Staples, located in a dedicated print production facility rather than a retail store. Staples operates specialized print facilities to handle large print orders that originate from its retail stores. This role is crucial for helping customers meet their copy and print needs by producing and finishing high-volume orders as part of a collaborative and team-oriented culture.

• Mission: To produce and finish large copy, print, and signage orders from stores, ensuring quality and timely processing.
• Tech Stack: High volume digital print equipment, cutters, drills, bindery.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Produce Orders: Follow production workflow to produce a high volume of copy, print, and signage work.
• Operate Equipment: Operate a variety of finishing equipment, including cutters, drills, and bindery tools.
• Prepare Files: Prepare and troubleshoot various file formats, changing them to PDF print-ready status.
• Ensure Quality: Ensure that all work produced is in accordance with the job ticket and customer’s quality expectations.
• Maintain Equipment: Properly use and care for all equipment, complying with operating instructions and maintenance schedules.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates can be new to print or experienced; training and cross-training are provided.
• Experience: Experience managing many priorities.
• Skills: Attention to detail, sound organizational skills, ability to read and interpret instructions, ability to identify problems and address them proactively, basic computer skills (e.g., able to size and print documents).
• Bonus: Experience working in a print environment, experience using and editing PDF files in a digital print manufacturing environment.
