Search Engine Optimization and Marketing Intern | Acadium
The Tone:
This is a 3-month remote internship at Acadium, located remotely. Acadium is a platform that connects student members with businesses through an apprenticeship marketplace, providing tools, support, and mentorship to help individuals launch their careers by gaining real work experience. This role is critical for improving the company’s website search engine visibility and online presence, directly contributing to effective SEO and SEM strategies. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on a live website overhaul.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Optimize Content: Assist in optimizing website content, structure, and metadata for search engines.
• Conduct Research: Conduct keyword research and identify opportunities to improve organic rankings.
• Execute Campaigns: Support the development and execution of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns.
• Monitor Performance: Monitor website performance and search engine rankings.
• Perform Audits: Perform SEO audits and recommend improvements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student. Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
• Experience: No specific years required. Familiarity with keyword research and SEO best practices.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Bonus: Copywriting or content creation experience is a plus. Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms is beneficial.
