HR Intern – Data and Reporting | Akron Children’s

This is a part-time, onsite internship at Akron Children’s, located in Akron, OH. What You’ll Actually Do
• Support HR Administration: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources department, which includes assisting with various tasks to ensure the department’s efficient daily operations.
• Conduct HR Research and Analysis: Assist the team with thorough research and analysis, contributing to projects focused on workplace trends, employee experience, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development.
• Contribute to Employee Relations: Actively participate in diverse employee relations initiatives, gaining valuable exposure to practices unique to a pediatric healthcare environment.
• Manage Data and Reporting: Engage in accurate data collection, generate comprehensive reports, conduct policy research, and maintain meticulous documentation for HR processes.
• Maintain Confidential Records: Responsibly handle filing, scanning, and the systematic maintenance of confidential electronic employee relations records and sensitive information with integrity.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently enrolled in a Human Resources or a closely related degree program, demonstrating foundational knowledge in HR principles.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically including Word and Excel, and possessing the aptitude to quickly learn and navigate HRIS systems and other HR-related technologies. This includes comfort with filing, scanning, and maintaining confidential electronic records, along with a track record of accuracy in data entry and case documentation.
• Skills: Possesses strong organizational abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally and compassionately across all organizational levels, and consistently applies discretion, reliability, and sound judgment. Demonstrates careful attention to deadlines, compliance requirements, and meticulous record-keeping expectations.
