HR Administrative Intern | Core4ce

The Tone:
This is an internship at Core4ce, located remotely. Core4ce is a team of innovators, self-starters, and critical thinkers driven by a shared mission to strengthen national security and advance warfighting outcomes. This role is crucial for supporting the Human Resources team with essential administrative tasks and employee lifecycle processes. The intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in HR operations, records management, and compliance, contributing directly to the efficiency and accuracy of HR functions.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time, Temporary (25 hours/week for six weeks)
• Location: Remote

• Team: Human Resources team
• Mission: Support the HR team with administrative tasks and employee lifecycle processes to ensure accurate records, compliance, and efficient operations.
• Tech Stack: HRIS, SharePoint, ADP, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

What You’ll Actually Do
• File Management: Maintain and update employee files in HRIS, SharePoint, and other HR recordkeeping systems.
• Documentation Audits: Assist with audits of employee personnel files to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed.
• Compliance Support: Support I-9 documentation processes and filing, and assist with teleworking documentation audits and other compliance tracking.
• System Updates: Help update employee information in HR systems, including contact details and other records, and support data entry in systems like ADP.
• Process Improvement: Review HR SharePoint pages, forms, and public-facing documents for accuracy, and help create and audit HR checklists and administrative process documents.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience: Strong interest in Human Resources and administrative operations; ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism; willingness to learn HR systems, processes, and compliance requirements.
• Skills: Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook, Word, and Excel), and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Previous internship or administrative experience in an office environment, familiarity with ADP, HRIS platforms, or SharePoint, experience with data entry, records management, or file auditing, or intermediate Excel skills.
