The Tone:
This is an entry-level, full-time employee position at NextGen Security, located in Miramar, FL. NextGen Security is a rapidly expanding electronic security systems integrator, dedicated to providing commercial and industrial companies with best-in-class industry knowledge, comprehensive engineering design, meticulous implementation, expert management, and ongoing maintenance services. Our projects span from single sites to multi-facility, plant-wide, campus-wide, regional, national, and even international security solutions. This Assistant Project Manager role is crucial for supporting our Project Managers in successfully completing these complex projects and serves as a primary, invaluable point of contact for our valued customers, directly contributing to our reputation for quality and expertise in the security industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Oversight & Support: Attend project meetings and assist with various critical project tasks, including supporting invoicing processes.
• Resource Coordination: Efficiently assist with the scheduling of both internal installation teams and external subcontractor coordination.
• Onsite Operations & Quality: Provide essential onsite technician support, safely operate a company vehicle for local travel, and ensure rigorous project quality control.
• Documentation & Equipment Management: Oversee the assembly and review of all required project documentation, in addition to managing the staging of project equipment.
• Client Relationship Management: Represent NextGen Security as the primary and valuable point of contact for our valued customers, ensuring clear and effective communication.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry Level career opportunity, suitable for individuals seeking to grow within project management. Candidates should have foundational domain knowledge relevant to electronic security integration.
• Experience: The role requires 0-3 years of professional experience. Prior internship experience specifically within project management or a closely related field is strongly preferred, though not strictly mandatory. Demonstrated customer service experience is considered a valuable asset for this customer-facing role.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong organizational abilities are essential, alongside superior problem-solving capabilities and excellent communication skills for diverse stakeholders. The ability to quickly process and apply new skills and concepts is required, coupled with a strong attention to detail. Candidates must also demonstrate the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Teams, and Windows Operating Systems is a prerequisite.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred, but the company explicitly states it is not required. Furthermore, experience with specialized project management and design software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Procore, and other similar products is a significant advantage.
