INTERNSHIP: Cheminformatics | Dassault Systèmes

The Tone:
This is an internship at Dassault Systèmes. Dassault Systèmes is a global organization that develops advanced chemistry applications and scientific software solutions, including tools for molecular modeling and drug design. This role supports the development of these scientific software solutions, contributing directly to advancements in chemistry applications and potentially to published research.

The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Implement: Contribute to the implementation and validation of cheminformatics functionalities within Pipeline Pilot.
• Develop: Support the development of high-performance chemistry search and molecular analysis tools.
• Design: Participate in the design and optimization of algorithms for molecular modeling and drug design.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to ensure software reliability and performance.
• Engage: Engage with Product Management and customer-facing teams to support product evolution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Chemistry, Computer Science, or a related scientific field.
• Experience: Knowledge of object-oriented design and software development methodologies. Exposure to advanced cheminformatics and drug design technologies.
• Skills: Strong programming skills in C++. Solid background in chemistry or a related scientific discipline. Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Bonus: Additional programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#. Familiarity with Agile development practices.
