Supply Chain Operation – Intern | CEVA Logistics

The Tone:

The Contract Logistics operations are central to the company’s service offerings. This internship offers hands-on experience in a live warehouse environment, providing a development pathway for students interested in building a long-term career in operations leadership. The role is designed to provide foundational knowledge in P&L management, workforce planning, and operational leadership within the logistics sector.

The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Support: Partner with supervisors and managers to support daily warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, inventory control, and quality.
• Performance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring labor productivity, service levels, and order accuracy, as well as tracking overall operational performance.
• Financial Analysis: Learn the components of a site-level P&L and support the analysis of labor spend against forecasts.
• Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization projects, helping to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Leadership Development: Observe frontline leadership practices, support workforce planning initiatives, and learn safety compliance standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to spend time on the warehouse floor to observe and support operations.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with strong communication and leadership potential.
• Bonus: An interest in financial analysis and operational metrics.
