Content Marketing Intern | Veryfi

The Tone:
This is an internship at Veryfi, located in San Mateo, CA. Veryfi is a Series A fintech startup that creates products to liberate users from manual data entry and associated inefficiencies. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working with a diverse marketing team, bringing both product-focused and branded stories to life. This position is crucial for enhancing brand visibility, driving traffic, and generating conversions for an expansive tech industry.

The TL;DR

• Team: Marketing team
• Mission: Assist the Marketing team in producing content, measuring its effectiveness, and identifying gaps in business-branded topics to enhance brand visibility and drive conversions.
• Tech Stack: Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop), WordPress, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Search Console

What You’ll Actually Do
• Produce Multimedia Content: Create long-form videos (averaging two per month) and 2-3 short clips weekly for Reels and YouTube Shorts, highlighting key moments, new product updates, or viral corporate trends, requiring comfort in front of the camera for social posting.
• Develop Written Marketing Materials: Publish 3-5 SEO/GEO-optimized blog posts per month, informed by industry trends and competitor research, and support email marketing campaigns by drafting email copy.
• Ensure Brand Consistency: Create blog graphics using branded templates to maintain consistent, on-brand communication across all channels and stay aligned with product owners for timely content coverage on new feature releases.
• Analyze Content Performance: Develop reports on marketing activities, tracking key metrics such as website traffic, conversion rates, and ROI across all channels to measure the effectiveness of written and video content.
• Conduct Industry Research: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging topics to inform content strategy, identify content gaps, and find opportunities for gaining conversions and revenue.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: A digital portfolio or strong examples showcasing previous work is required, along with comfort in front of the camera and being posted on social media.
• Skills: Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail, proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop), solid understanding of social media strategy and core marketing principles, and SEO knowledge including keyword research, on-page optimization, and technical SEO basics.
• Bonus: Experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress, HubSpot, or similar platforms) and analytics tools like Google Analytics (preferred), Google Search Console, and social media analytics.
