Human Resources Intern | ChaseSource, LP

The Tone:
This is a paid internship opportunity, employed through ChaseSource, LP, and assigned to a respected public-sector organization located in Austin, TX. The client organization is seeking a Human Resources Generalist Intern to join its Human Resources team. This role offers hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines, supporting meaningful projects that contribute to the success of a public-sector environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Recruitment Support: Assist in managing recruitment activities, hiring processes, and internship program initiatives.
• Onboarding & Engagement: Support new hire onboarding and participate in employee engagement, retention, and workforce development projects.
• HR Data & Reporting: Gather, analyze, and report on workforce data, survey results, HR metrics, and research findings for decision-making.
• Process & Content Development: Assist with compensation, classification, and process improvement initiatives, and develop HR communications and documentation.
• Learning & Development: Support learning and development programs, training materials, and Learning Management System (LMS) updates.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Public Administration, or a related field, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Experience: None explicitly required for this entry-level internship role.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to analyze information and conduct research, ability to maintain confidentiality, and self-motivation with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bonus: Familiarity with HRIS platforms, and experience with Tableau, Canva, SharePoint, survey platforms, or other reporting tools.
