What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Pre-registration: Conduct patient pre-registration by making and receiving calls to meticulously collect and accurately document essential patient demographics, comprehensive financial details, and other vital personal information.
• Data Verification and Update: Systematically verify patient identification and promptly update insurance or demographic data as necessary to maintain current and precise records.
• Authorization and Referral Management: Efficiently manage all referral and authorization information for assigned patients, ensuring all regulatory and procedural requirements are met for service approval.
• Clinical Clarification and Communication: Actively communicate with physicians and medical providers to clarify specific clinical details pertinent to patient care and authorization processes.
• Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all daily activities and patient interactions within the designated hospital information system, adhering to all data integrity standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level role, ideal for individuals launching a career in healthcare administration and patient services. A Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Experience: Candidates should possess 1+ years of relevant experience in areas such as healthcare administration, health insurance, medical policy review, nursing, or allied health settings.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite is required. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a detail-oriented and organized approach to work, specifically in handling confidential patient information with utmost professionalism.
• Bonus: Experience utilizing Epic within a healthcare information system is considered a significant advantage.
