Music Publicity Intern | INFAMOUS PR
The Tone:
This is a Music Publicity Internship at INFAMOUS PR, a company dedicated to public relations for leading artists and festivals within the dance music genre. INFAMOUS PR represents a roster that includes acts like RÜFÜS DU SOL, REZZ, and GRYFFIN, alongside festivals such as CRSSD, HARD Summer, and Electric Forest. The program offers hands-on training and valuable experience in the music PR industry. This role is crucial for supporting artist campaigns and provides an opportunity to learn the operational aspects of music publicity from a team excited about the music and industry they represent.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Seasonal (June to September 2026)
• Location: Remote (3 days a week, Fridays required; hours are variable as team members are in NY and LA)
• Team: Artist Team (directly assisting publicists)
• Mission: Support the Artist Team by conducting essential research, reporting on campaign wins, drafting communications, and assisting publicists to enhance artist visibility and campaign effectiveness.
• Tech Stack: Slack, email, phone, video conference (for team meetings)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct background research for upcoming artist campaigns and identify new opportunities across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, editorial sites, podcasts, radio, and digital streaming providers (DSPs).
• Reporting: Compile and report on weekly client campaign successes across various media platforms.
• Outreach Support: Research, create, and build lists of media and industry contacts.
• Communication Drafting: Draft pitches and press releases for upcoming tour dates, song and album releases, and other artist announcements.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly staff meetings and brainstorms, presenting new ideas and research for ongoing campaigns.

• Background: Student with a strong interest in dance music and a desire to learn the specifics of working in the music PR industry.
• Experience: Eagerness to gain practical experience and contribute to artist publicity campaigns.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong writing skills, evidenced by a submitted writing sample; ability to conduct thorough research across various platforms (social media, editorial, podcast, radio, DSP); capacity for active participation in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
