The Tone:
This is a summer internship at Align Technology, located in San Jose, California. You will join Align’s Finance Analytics team, contributing to data-driven decision-making and AI-powered solutions within the finance department. The role is crucial for enhancing the company’s financial planning and reporting processes through advanced analytics and automation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analysis: Assist in data analysis, forecasting, and reporting for annual planning and monthly reviews.
• Development: Build and optimize dashboards and predictive models to support business and growth tracking.
• Innovation: Explore and implement AI-driven tools, such as Copilot and machine learning models, to improve financial workflows.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and IT teams to integrate automation into planning processes.
• Efficiency: Document processes and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements across finance operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience: Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and other data visualization tools; basic knowledge of Python/R and SQL.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; familiarity with AI/ML concepts and an interest in Copilot or similar AI assistants; ability to present insights clearly and collaborate effectively.
• Bonus: Experience with business & financial modeling and forecasting techniques; exposure to cloud-based analytics platforms and automation tools.
