Production Safety Intern, Fall 2026 | The Walt Disney Company

The Tone:
This is an internship at The Walt Disney Company, located in Burbank, CA. Walt Disney Studios and Disney Entertainment Television provide world-class entertainment globally. This role is crucial for the Production Safety team, which actively safeguards the health, safety, and well-being of its cast and crew by ensuring measurable and effective steps are taken. Your contributions will help maintain safe and responsible working standards across all studio brands, protecting both personnel and operations.

• Team: Production Safety team, collaborating with television and film productions
• Mission: Support the Production Safety team’s mission to protect cast, crew, and operations by ensuring compliance with health and safety standards on film and television sets.
• Tech Stack: Air Table, SharePoint, Word, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Department Support: Support department initiatives and assist with projects addressing safety, health, and environmental needs for productions.
• Data Management: Assist with preparing and organizing reports, data, and materials related to safety performance, compliance, and training initiatives.
• Creative Collaboration: Collaborate with mentors and industry professionals to realize creative visions while safeguarding cast and crew well-being.
• Meeting Preparation: Prepare materials and notes for safety reviews, lessons learned sessions, and team meetings.
• Risk Reduction: Participate in risk reduction activities by helping to identify potential hazards, contributing to mitigation plans, and supporting efforts to minimize risks on set and throughout production operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class, or currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship; at least 18 years of age. Must possess an interest in film/TV production, health & safety, and environmental compliance and sustainability.
• Experience: Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides or Canva, and Outlook.
• Skills: Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; excellent organization and time-management with the ability to handle multiple tasks; high accuracy and attention to detail in managing data and documents; self-starter able to work autonomously as needed.
• Bonus: Demonstrated career interest in safety, health, and environmental fields; problem solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
