Marketing Intern | Risewell Homes
The Tone:
This is an internship at Risewell Homes, located in Irvine, CA. Risewell Homes operates in the homebuilding and real estate industry, shaping the homebuyer experience from initial discovery through model home merchandising and community positioning. This role offers hands-on exposure to how strategic marketing and thoughtful design work together to achieve these goals. The intern will play a key support role in contributing to research, reporting, and creative development across various ongoing projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Market Research: Assist with comprehensive research into model home merchandising, evolving interior design trends, community aesthetic positioning, and broader marketing strategies relevant to the homebuilding sector.
• Creative Asset Support: Support the creation of visual mood boards, which will be utilized for conceptualizing model homes or sales environments to articulate design vision.
• Customer Experience Analysis: Participate in detailed walkthroughs of model homes and sales galleries, with a specific focus on design, layout, and understanding the overall customer experience, extending beyond typical marketing observations.
• Design Impact Documentation: Help document in detail how various design elements, including color schemes, materials, signage, and spatial flow, actively impact and influence the customer’s journey through a home or community.
• Resource Management: Help organize and maintain critical design resources, visual standards, and merchandising guidelines, ensuring consistency and accessibility for the teams.
• Business Project Contribution: Actively participate in special projects within your assigned team and department, making meaningful contributions to real business initiatives throughout the internship program.
• Final Project Completion: Be responsible for completing a final project at the end of the internship, showcasing skills, knowledge, insights gained, and highlighting specific contributions to the organization.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A student currently enrolled in a trade school, college, or university, demonstrating an interest in marketing, design, real estate, architecture, or consumer experience, specifically within the homebuilding or real estate industry.
• Experience: Basic familiarity with fundamental office productivity software such as PowerPoint and Excel, and/or design tools within the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage resources and information effectively, coupled with strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams.
• Bonus: A strong sense of curiosity and an eager desire to learn about the complexities of integrating design and marketing in the real estate sector.
