What You’ll Actually Do
• Infrastructure Development: Build development infrastructure systems including Cloud IDE, repository and code management tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Intelligent Data Platforms: Develop advanced intelligent data platforms to assist client developers in optimizing the user experience of ByteDance products through data-driven decisions.
• Staging Environment Management: Construct and scale ByteDance’s staging environment for major products like TikTok, Ads, and Shopping, which includes managing isolated users and traffic, and tweaking technologies such as K8S, RPC, DB, and big data systems.
• Technology Translation: Research and convert state-of-the-art computer engineering technology and concepts into tangible product features and solutions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Experience: Able to commit to a 12-week internship in 2026, with prior experience working with programming languages such as Android, Java, Objective-C, Python, or Golang.
• Skills: Practical experience in one or more areas including private or public cloud environments, backend architecture design, storage systems, databases, CI/CD systems, build infrastructure, or big data technologies.
• Bonus: Full-stack development experience and strong strategic thinking combined with effective team collaboration skills.
