Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Specialist | United Bank
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at United Bank, supporting the human resources function. United Bank is a financial institution that relies on skilled individuals to serve its customers and operate effectively. This role is crucial for ensuring the bank maintains a strong presence in the business community and attracts the best candidates to fill essential positions. You will be responsible for proactively engaging with internal and external sources to market United Bank and recruit key talent, primarily for Retail Banking and other entry to mid-level roles.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop and Execute Recruiting Plans: Recommend and implement effective recruiting plans to capture and retain top talent, proactively consulting with hiring managers on staffing needs and anticipating turnover.
• Manage End-to-End Recruitment Process: Conduct resume and applicant screening, perform interviews, make hiring decisions or recommendations, negotiate offers with candidates including compensation and start dates, and facilitate a high-touch onboarding experience.
• Community Engagement and Sourcing: Utilize standard and creative methods like internet searches, advertising, career fairs, direct recruiting, and networking events to market United Bank and source candidates, maintaining relationships to build a talent pipeline.
• Ensure Compliance and Documentation: Complete Bank files and paperwork accurately in compliance with labor laws, established policies, and federal guidelines, while maintaining and updating applicant tracking files and databases.
• Strategic Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with the Compensation area to ensure job descriptions are current, prepare weekly staffing reports, manage internal job posting communications, and assist in agency referrals and HR-related projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or two (2) years of direct working experience in the recruitment and talent acquisition area.
• Experience: Minimum two years of experience in a professional office environment, with demonstrated experience in passive solicitation techniques and a proven ability to partner with the local business community to achieve recruiting results.
• Skills: Strong networking skills, consistent prioritization in a fast-paced environment, demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships, excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, good planning and organizational abilities, adaptability, flexibility, and computer literacy with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of State and Federal labor laws, rules, and regulations on Affirmative Action programs and Equal Employment Opportunity standards and practices.
• Bonus: Prior experience working in the banking industry.
