Sales Planning Analyst Intern | Skydio

The Tone:
This is an internship at Skydio, a leading US drone company and the world leader in autonomous flight technology. Skydio combines expertise in AI, hardware, software development, and operations to empower a diverse range of drone users, from inspectors to first responders and soldiers. This role is essential for supporting the Revenue Operations team, providing hands-on experience in analyzing sales data and improving planning processes to inform key business decisions across sales, finance, and operations.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Collect, analyze, and report on sales-related data to support annual planning, forecasting, and performance tracking, guiding strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Support the annual sales and fiscal year planning process through data analysis and reporting.
• Assist: Assist with territory planning, headcount planning, and incentive compensation analysis.
• Partner: Partner with Sales Operations to help maintain forecasting models and reporting cadence (weekly, quarterly, annual).
• Create: Create and maintain both recurring and ad hoc dashboards and reports.
• Conduct: Conduct basic quantitative analysis on sales and product data to identify trends and insights.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience: Interest in sales operations, revenue operations, or business analytics; comfortable working with data in tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or similar platforms.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, clear communication, ability to manage multiple tasks independently and collaboratively.
• Bonus: Exposure to tools like Salesforce, NetSuite, or data platforms; familiarity with basic statistical concepts (e.g., forecasting, regression).
