Digital Storytelling, Content & AI Innovation Intern | Merkley + Partners
The Tone:
This is an 8–10 week seasonal part-time internship at The Doran Group. The Doran Group manages a portfolio of luxury apartment communities, and the organization is focused on elevating its corporate brand and property portfolios. This role is crucial for enhancing their digital presence by developing cutting-edge social media and content marketing strategies. The intern will directly contribute to building next-generation content programs and exploring AI-assisted tools to scale content creation across their properties.

• Mission: Build the next generation of social media and content marketing programs for luxury apartment communities, leveraging emerging technologies and AI to scale content creation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Creation: Create engaging, on-brand photo and video content for The Doran Group’s corporate and property-specific social media platforms.
• Field Storytelling: Capture original content at luxury apartment communities and their surrounding neighborhoods, highlighting amenities, design features, team members, and lifestyle experiences.
• Strategy Development: Help develop and maintain annual content calendars that support corporate and community marketing initiatives.
• Innovation Research: Research emerging social media trends, content formats, AI-powered tools, and digital marketing technologies to improve content creation and audience engagement.
• Workflow Building: Help build repeatable, AI-assisted content workflows to transform existing and newly captured content into scalable social media programs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current college student with an excellent academic record, pursuing studies in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, business, public relations, or graphic design.
• Experience: Extensive social media experience, including both photo and video content creation, and experience using video editing tools like CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Premiere Rush.
• Skills: Excellent punctuation, spelling, grammar, and communication skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
• Bonus: Experience managing personal, student organization, creator, or business social media accounts; experience creating short-form video content for platforms like Instagram Reels or TikTok; familiarity with AI-assisted content creation tools or automation platforms; or a photography, videography, graphic design, or content portfolio.
