Facility Technician I | Clean Harbors

This is a full-time role at Clean Harbors, located in San Jose, CA. The TL;DR

• Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 7am to 3:30pm

• Mission: This individual performs critical daily hands-on operations to manage waste and ensure environmental safety.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Safety: Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by consistently following established company policies and processes, and by acting in a safe manner at all times within the facility.
• Operations: Perform critical daily tasks that involve hazardous waste management, including drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, and the offloading of trucks.
• Documentation: Accurately complete and submit all associated paperwork required for waste tracking movements, efficiently utilizing a scanning application for record-keeping.
• Support: Execute other general duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management to support overall facility operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, demonstrating foundational knowledge required for facility operations.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of related experience is required, providing practical familiarity with similar operational environments.
• Skills: The ability to effectively use a computer for various tasks and the physical capability to safely lift 50 or more pounds are essential for this role.
• Bonus: Forklift experience is preferred, offering an additional valuable skill for facility duties, though it is not a mandatory requirement.
