This role offers the chance to gain real-world experience at a rapidly growing social platform. As an intern, you will contribute directly to how TikTok supports News creators in the U.S.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, Los Angeles, CA
• Pay: $23.75 hourly
• Team: Creator Management team, focusing on News creators
• Mission: This person identifies, supports, and scales high-quality News creators in the U.S. through strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Initiatives: Support the development and rollout of new creator initiatives to increase adoption of TikTok-owned products and programs.
• Identification: Identify high-potential News creators and emerging voices by monitoring content trends, creator behavior, and platform activity.
• Operations: Independently manage end-to-end creator program operations, including lead vetting, onboarding, tracking, and data analysis.
• Reporting: Produce regular reporting on the U.S. news industry, creator trends, audience behavior, news, and AI-related developments.
• Efficiency: Build and maintain trackers, templates, SOPs, and shared documents to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, focusing on supporting News creators in the U.S.
• Experience: Prior experience in creator operations, content strategy, journalism, community management, program management, or market/competitive research.
• Skills: Strong English reading, writing, and synthesis skills to distill complex information; strong research, analytical, and organizational skills; detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple workstreams; comfortable using spreadsheets and data tools.
• Bonus: Deep familiarity with the U.S. news landscape, top news talent, and social conversation around news; strong understanding of TikTok and other major social platforms; strong data fluency; interest in the creator economy, AI advancement, news content strategy, and digital culture.
