The Tone:
This is a Full-time internship at Gowan Company, located in Yuma, AZ (Headquarters) or other various global locations. Gowan Company is a global agriculture organization that offers students the opportunity to gain real experience in a professional office setting. This role, part of the Project DUO Program, is designed to help interns build practical workplace skills and understand how a global company operates behind the scenes. Interns will support projects that improve how teams stay organized, communicate, and complete their work across different departments.

• Team: Reports to Assigned Department Lead / Project DUO Program Manager
• Mission: Improve team organization, communication, and work completion through administrative and project support while understanding global company operations.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance by scheduling meetings, managing calendars, preparing meeting materials, and supporting departmental communications.
• Document and Information Management: Assist with the creation, editing, formatting, and organization of documents, along with performing data entry, filing, and various information management tasks.
• Project Contribution: Participate in process mapping sessions, document workflows, update department tools and internal resources, and help prepare presentations and progress reports.
• Data and Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze data to support projects and team goals, contributing to the development of operational documents.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Engage with other DUO interns and various departments to understand broader Gowan operations, coordinating with HR, IT, and Finance for project needs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a University/College program.
• Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to learn new systems and software quickly; comfort working professionally in an office and collaborative environment; capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with guidance; reliability, organization, and ability to follow through on assignments.
• Bonus: Coursework or practical experience related to project management, organizational systems, or administrative support; a basic understanding of or interest in project management principles; familiarity with documentation, information organization, multi-step workflows, or process improvement concepts.
