The Tone:
This is an internship at TikTok, part of the Global e-commerce Team, operating across various international locations. TikTok’s Global e-commerce Team focuses on creating a content e-commerce business using international short video products to help users discover and purchase products at affordable prices. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability and reliability of platform services for merchants and delivering a tailored, active, and efficient consumption experience for users. Interns gain industry exposure and hands-on experience, developing fundamental skills for personal and professional growth within a rapidly expanding tech company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Automation Development: Work alongside developers and business stakeholders to automate acceptance criteria for product features.
• Test Solutions: Build robust, high-quality test automation solutions for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Product Understanding: Participate in PRD (Product Requirements Document) reviews and architectural design reviews to understand business logic, system architecture, and inner product functioning.
• Efficiency Improvement: Automate test cases and write reusable scripts or tools that help the team reduce repetitive manual efforts.
• Process Optimization: Proactively identify efficiency bottlenecks, research, and implement improvements to processes, tools, and frameworks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Must be able to commit to working for 12 weeks in 2026.
• Experience: Hands-on experience in development or coding knowledge and system design. Possess an understanding of computer field fundamentals, including testing frameworks, networking, databases, and algorithms.
• Skills: Strong ability to process concurrent tasks and produce efficient work output.
• Bonus: Agile and quick self-learner, highly self-motivated with a strong sense of product ownership, and a creative problem solver. Deeply passionate about software coding or development and building mobile or web applications. Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast-moving, culturally diverse, and globally distributed team environment.
