What You’ll Actually Do
• Departmental Learning: Engage in a structured program designed to learn and grow across several key areas of the Parts Department, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of its functions.
• Warehouse Training: Receive targeted training and gain practical experience specifically within the Parts Warehouse, covering essential operations and inventory management.
• Counter Operations: Provide support and gain hands-on experience at the Parts Counter, learning customer interaction, parts identification, and sales processes.
• Educational Application: Apply theoretical knowledge gained from academic studies directly to real-world tasks and challenges, translating classroom education into practical, job-ready skills.
• Career Exploration: Utilize the internship experience to deeply understand Milton CAT’s work environment and culture, assisting in the decision-making process for a future career launch, with consideration for full-time employment upon graduation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires candidates to be currently enrolled as a student in a public, private, or accredited academic institution, actively pursuing their education. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is a foundational requirement for all applicants.
• Experience: Applicants should demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and effectively, evidenced by a strong academic record with a minimum 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale, reflecting a commitment to scholastic achievement.
• Skills: Proficiency in essential computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is critical for daily tasks. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills for clear interaction and strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork. Highly valued are robust organization and time management abilities, alongside the versatility and flexibility required to adapt to new situations and changing priorities. The ability to commute to the work location on a daily basis is also essential.
