Suffolk Construction is transforming how America builds using data, AI, and advanced technology. This role joins the AI Studio in Boston, collaborating with engineers and product managers. You will build AI-driven solutions to redefine how construction management operates.

• Role: AI Internship with verification
• Team: AI Studio, collaborating with Product Managers, AI Engineers, and Data Engineers.
• Mission: Develop AI-driven solutions to reduce manual reporting, accelerate RFIs, and enhance project visibility across construction.
• Tech Stack: AWS Bedrock, Databricks, ChatGPT, Microsoft CoPilot, Claude Code, Devin AI, Python, FastAPI, AWS services, LangChain, vector databases, SQL, LLMOps, Llama, GPT.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prototype AI Solutions: Translate product requirements into functional AI prototypes using various AI tools.
• Develop Backend Services: Build and enhance APIs and backend services using Python and AWS.
• Support Data Integration: Work with Data Engineers to prepare and vectorize data for AI applications.
• Collaborate & Learn: Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and sprint planning within an Agile team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, with exposure to AI/ML concepts and LLMs.
• Experience: Full fluency with consumer-grade AI chatbots for advanced prompt engineering and building agents, plus experience using AI to generate software code.
• Skills: Strong Python programming skills, familiarity with APIs, backend development, and basic understanding of data processing or SQL.
