Job Description

About the Role
This Electrical Engineering internship at Steel of West Virginia, located in Huntington, WV, is scheduled for Summer 2026. The intern will utilize electrical engineering principles to assist in the performance of engineering duties and participate in day-to-day engineering activities within a fast-paced and varied environment.

What You’ll Do
• Utilize electrical engineering principles to assist in the performance of engineering duties.
• Assist other engineers in on-going projects.
• Perform data analysis and report trends to operation personnel.
• Be in direct contact with operation personnel working on projects that will directly affect production and safety.
• Participate in day to day engineering activities in a fast paced and varied environment.
• All other duties as assigned.

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Have a degree program or experience that includes one or more of the following: electrical machinery, power distribution, PLCs/automation systems, power electronics/drives.
• Have completed at least your freshman year of study.

Bonus Qualifications
• Have a preferred GPA of at least 2.7.
