About the Role
This is a 2026 Chemical Loader Internship program with BASF in Freeport, TX, offering valuable, hands-on experience. Interns will join the BASF team, working a shift schedule while following a BASF Chemical Loader to complete various loading activities, developing technical and professional skills. Successful candidates will be employed through a 3rd party contractor for the internship duration, and may be considered for future full-time positions upon completion.

What You’ll Do
• Help complete various loading activities
• Unload inbound raw materials and load outbound finished goods across multiple modes: truck, rail, marine, totes, drums, etc.
• Perform rail switching activities, including operating a railcar mover, groundman for switching activities, operating a rail switch, and crossing guard function.
• Provide troubleshooting of equipment prior to maintenance involvement and identify and communicate when maintenance work is needed.

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Are able to pass the BASF pre-employment assessment
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• Have an outstanding work ethic
