Job Description

About the Role
The Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting the Engineering team in conducting engineering studies for clients, supporting the development of detailed designs and supporting global project execution. You will contribute to CECO Environmental’s mission of protecting people, the environment, and industrial equipment through sustainable solutions.

What You’ll Do
• Create 3D models
• Create and revise 2D drawings
• Develop technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations.
• Confer with other personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop suitable product
• Attend internal meetings as required.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are actively pursuing a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Have experience using MS Office, Excel, and other normal business software.
• Have knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
• Have knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
• Have knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Have knowledge of Statics, beam formulas, stresses, pressure vessel.
• Have knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics, and mechanical, electrical, atomic and sub- atomic structures and processes.
• Are skilled in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Are skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Are skilled in using mathematics to solve problems.
• Are skilled in understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
• Are skilled in using scientific rules and methods to solve problems.
• Have the ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
• Have the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Have the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
• Have the ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
• Have the ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.

Bonus Qualifications
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (2-D), Inventor 3-D and or similar CAD software
