About the Job: GTM Intern at Etched
About Etched:
Etched is pioneering the development of the world’s first AI inference system specifically engineered for transformers. Their innovative ASICs promise over 10 times higher performance and significantly reduced cost and latency compared to a B200. This breakthrough technology aims to enable the creation of previously impossible products, such as real-time video generation models and extremely deep, parallel chain-of-thought reasoning agents. Etched is backed by hundreds of millions in funding from leading investors and comprises a team of top engineers, all working to redefine the infrastructure layer for the rapidly expanding AI industry. The company operates on the principle of the “Bitter Lesson,” believing that progress in AI is driven by increased computational power, specifically through model-specific hardware (ASICs) as model architectures consolidate with larger training runs. Etched is a fully in-person team based in West San Jose, valuing strong engineering skills and fostering an environment where engineering and research are integrated.
Job Summary:
Etched is seeking a Go-to-Market (GTM) Intern to help establish the operational foundation of its GTM function. This role offers direct involvement in crucial activities such as product launches, managing deal logistics, conducting performance benchmarking, developing customer-facing materials and enablement programs, and facilitating strategic partnerships. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, working directly on initiatives that drive market adoption of Etched’s cutting-edge AI inference systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive research on model advancements, data center infrastructure development, and vendor news to inform GTM strategy.
- Collaborate with executives across recruiting, operations, and engineering departments to guide customer assessments and analyses, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of client needs and opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with legal, architecture, and software teams to seamlessly coordinate GTM efforts, ensuring alignment and efficient execution.
- Develop high-leverage assets including presentations (decks), performance benchmarks, and detailed ROI/TCO (Return on Investment/Total Cost of Ownership) models for potential customers.
- Build and manage the core components of the GTM operational engine, encompassing CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system administration, pipeline tracking, comprehensive reporting, and lead generation infrastructure.
- Provide operational, communications, and competitive strategy support for new product launches, ensuring successful market entry.
- Track and report progress on key GTM performance indicators (KPIs), Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and overall engagement health to inform strategic decisions.
- Maintain and refine GTM systems, focusing on rapid iteration, reducing friction points, and enhancing overall execution velocity.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
You may be a strong fit if you possess:
- Prior work experience or internships in roles such as operations, GTM, strategy, or chief-of-staff, particularly within early-stage or high-growth startup environments.
- A background or demonstrated keen interest in AI infrastructure, deep technology, or semiconductor industries.
- A unique blend of operational rigor combined with compelling storytelling abilities and intuitive understanding of customer needs.
- Comfort and proficiency in collaborating effectively across diverse functional teams, ranging from engineering to legal to sales.
- A strong affinity for working in fast-moving, high-autonomy environments characterized by significant ambiguity.
- Proven ability to analyze complex customer data, prioritize critical actions, and execute quickly and efficiently.
Etched encourages applications from candidates who may not meet every listed qualification.
Program Details:
- This is a 12-week paid internship scheduled from June to August 2026.
- Generous housing support will be provided for interns who need to relocate.
- Daily lunch and dinner will be offered at the office.
- The internship will be based at Etched’s office in San Jose, CA.
- Interns will receive direct mentorship from industry leaders and world-class engineers.
- This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to solving one of the most significant problems of our time in AI infrastructure.
