Job Description
Luxury Brand Showroom Internship – New York
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are offering a unique hands-on, immersive internship experience at our prestigious New York showroom. This is an unparalleled opportunity for a design or business student from a top institution to gain invaluable insights into the luxury market. You will work directly alongside the Director – USA Operations, receiving first-hand exposure to the intricacies of how a global luxury brand navigates one of the world’s most competitive design markets. This is decidedly not a back-office internship; from day one, you will be actively involved on the showroom floor, engaging in client conversations, and participating in real business activities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support the Director with day-to-day showroom operations, managing client appointments, and overseeing trade visitor interactions, ensuring every touchpoint upholds the brand’s exacting luxury standards.
- Assist in preparing compelling client presentations, sophisticated product look books, detailed pricing proposals, and comprehensive custom project documentation for both trade and retail clientele.
- Help coordinate essential sample requests, meticulous order follow-ups, and critical communication with our India HQ team regarding production timelines and logistics updates.
- Contribute to insightful market research focused on current US interior design trends, competitor activities, upcoming trade shows, and identifying potential new business opportunities.
- Support the planning and seamless execution of exclusive showroom events and impactful trade activations across the USA region.
- Maintain and meticulously update client databases, comprehensive meeting notes, and accurate sales tracking records to effectively support the Director’s overarching business management activities.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A current student or recent graduate (within the last 12 months) from a top design, interior design, or business school. Institutions such as Parsons School of Design, Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Pratt Institute, Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Cornell, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for luxury design, interiors, and exquisite craftsmanship – someone who is truly excited by the prospect of working with a heritage brand and understanding the intricate process of how beautiful things are made and sold.
- Possess a strong interpersonal presence and exceptional communication skills, comfortable engaging with high-profile clients, discerning designers, and influential industry professionals within a sophisticated, high-end showroom environment.
- Be highly organized, meticulously detail-oriented, and genuinely eager to learn – capable of expertly handling multiple tasks with precision and reliably following through on all commitments.
- A self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude, comfortable thriving in a small, fast-moving team environment where real responsibilities are entrusted.
