About the Job: Summer Accounting Intern at Circuit of The Americas (COTA)
Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a premier 365-day entertainment destination located in Austin, TX, offering an unparalleled portfolio of sports and entertainment events. This includes hosting global championship races like the Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR, and MotoGP on its famous circuit, as well as over 30 headline concerts annually produced by Live Nation at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. COTA also features COTALAND, an amusement park with over 30 attractions, including unique roller coasters.
Job Description
COTA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Accounting Intern to join its finance team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for hands-on experience in various accounting and finance operations, providing exposure to real-world financial processes within a dynamic and exciting entertainment environment.
Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Assist with data entry, account reconciliations, and the maintenance of financial records.
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Help in the preparation of financial reports and spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives aimed at process improvements.
- Conduct research and analysis pertaining to accounting issues.
- Assist with the preparation of prior year documentation for storage.

Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office suite tools.
Physical Demand & Work Environments:
- Ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision.
- Work may involve extreme outdoor environments throughout the year.
- The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate but can be loud during events.
Hourly pay rate will be commensurate with experience.
