It builds and hosts an unparalleled portfolio of sports and entertainment events, including global championship races like the Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR, and MotoGP on its famous circuit. COTA also presents over 30 headline concerts annually through Live Nation at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater and offers COTALAND, an amusement park with numerous attractions. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in various accounting and finance operations, directly supporting the financial processes within this exciting, multifaceted entertainment environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain Financial Records: Assist with accurate data entry, perform essential account reconciliations, and ensure the comprehensive maintenance of financial records, including the organized preparation of prior year documentation for storage.
• Process Transactions: Provide critical support for both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial flow.
• Generate Reports: Actively help in the preparation of detailed financial reports and develop various spreadsheets to support financial analysis.
• Drive Improvements: Collaborate effectively with team members on special projects and initiatives, specifically aimed at identifying and implementing process improvements within the finance department.
• Research & Analyze: Conduct thorough research and perform detailed analysis pertaining to a range of accounting issues, contributing to informed financial decision-making.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Early Career internship role for a student currently enrolled full-time, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office suite tools is required.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting effectively across the organization. This role also requires strong organizational skills to manage projects and workflows, along with a high degree of integrity for handling sensitive financial information truthfully.
