What You’ll Actually Do
• Development: Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of highly scalable, robust, and performant backend services and APIs.
• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, UX designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality features.
• Architecture: Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions to ensure systems are built for long-term maintainability, scalability, and resilience.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Operations: Participate in on-call rotations and provide operational support for critical production systems, ensuring high availability.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, with a strong focus on backend systems and distributed services.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, including extensive work with designing and building RESTful APIs, microservices, and proven experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Skills: Expert proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, Go, C#, or Node.js), deep understanding of both relational and NoSQL database technologies, strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles, and experience with CI/CD and various testing practices.
• Bonus: Master’s degree, experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), and experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
