Consumers Credit Union (CCU) – IGNITE Intern Program

Role: Marketing Intern

We are seeking students interested in a Summer 2026 internship supporting the Marketing team. The Marketing Intern will report to the Marketing Generalist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with social media campaigns.
  • Support Lumin Campaigns.
  • Contribute to copywriting tasks.
  • Proofread content for accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Work on small design elements.
  • Assist with web content.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This internship offers a well-rounded Marketing experience with opportunities to write, design, and work on web content and social media tasks. Schedule flexibility is required, as some events may occur in the evening or on weekends.

Requirements For The Marketing Internship:

  • Education:
    • Currently attending an accredited college or university.
    • Rising juniors and seniors working toward a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Advertising. Rising sophomores may also be considered.
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Availability:
    • Ability to work 32 hours per week for the summer (generally 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday-Thursday).
    • Commitment to the full 12-week program duration (May 26, 2026 – August 13, 2026).
    • The schedule will involve onsite days based in Lake Forest, IL. Local candidates only.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Basic familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and the wider Microsoft Office suite (including email, calendaring, and instant messaging).
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently after receiving work direction.
    • A collaborative spirit – ability to work with others at various levels within the credit union and with partner companies outside.
    • Interest in a longer-term Marketing career path.

Compensation And Benefits:

  • Compensation: The compensation range for this role is $18.50 to $20.50 per hour. The hourly rate is determined by class year as of Fall 2026 (sophomore, junior, senior) and may also consider additional factors such as skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
  • Benefits: The internship is a seasonal, part-time position and is not eligible for most benefits.
