What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure platform services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Contribute actively to architectural discussions, review technical designs, and propose solutions aligning with business objectives and technical vision.
• Champion code quality, perform thorough code reviews, and advocate for engineering best practices including testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Optimize platform performance and resolve scalability issues to ensure optimal operation under various load conditions.
• Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and foster a collaborative team environment, working closely with other development teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, with a significant focus on building backend services and distributed systems.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on building backend services and distributed systems.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, Python, or C#; hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including services like compute, storage, databases, and serverless technologies; deep understanding and practical experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and data streaming technologies; solid experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines; experience with both relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis); excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for debugging complex systems and identifying root causes; strong written and verbal communication skills for articulating technical concepts clearly.
• Bonus: Experience with event-driven architectures and domain-driven design; familiarity with GraphQL; knowledge of observability tools and practices (monitoring, logging, tracing); contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects; experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
