What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex software systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate: Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineering teams to define specifications and deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Develop: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code and participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot: Troubleshoot and debug production issues, implementing effective solutions and preventative measures.
• Mentor: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant portion in a senior capacity. Proven experience with distributed systems, microservices architectures, and RESTful APIs.
• Skills: Expertise in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript); Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles; Solid experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra); Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), Git, and CI/CD pipelines; Excellent problem-solving, analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes); Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) if working on full-stack solutions; Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS); Prior experience in a technical leadership or team lead role; Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the developer community; Experience with performance optimization and scaling high-traffic applications.
