Bookkeeper & Procurement Specialist
Morozko Forge is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Procurement Specialist to provide essential administrative and operational support directly to the CEO, Thomas Seager, and coordinate with the Operations Engineer(s). This pivotal role is responsible for maintaining robust financial records, optimizing procurement processes, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with various regulatory requirements, and contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records within QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other relevant software platforms.
- Produce comprehensive management reports related to productivity, cash flow, capital structure, and financial performance.
- Streamline and continuously improve all financial record-keeping functions.
- Document and maintain records of contracts, leases, and other financial agreements.
- Prepare and maintain instruction and policy manuals documenting Morozko’s bookkeeping practices.
- Monitor accounts receivable and manage lease-to-buy programs.
- Prepare detailed records for the CEO and external CPA to support federal and state tax returns, including R&D tax credit filings.

Procurement & Supply Chain Management:
- Maintain strong vendor and contractor account relationships, including managing records, payments, and tax-exempt status, while overseeing supply chains.
- Elicit competitive bid proposals and actively recruit new vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement of supplies, including sourcing from foreign countries (e.g., China).
- Complete supply orders and purchases in strict accordance with Morozko’s established practices and policies.
- Create and maintain accurate purchase orders and comprehensive purchasing records.
- Track inbound freight, facilitate freight forwarding, monitor the receipt of goods, and manage the payment of duties/taxes.
- Prepare and maintain instruction and policy manuals documenting Morozko’s purchasing practices.
- Document and maintain precise inventory records.

Sales Tax Filing & Compliance:
- Prepare and file sales tax reports across various jurisdictions throughout the United States.
- Manage TPT license renewals and AZ-5000 TPT exempt documentation.
- Ensure timely filings and accurate payment of all sales taxes.

Business Development & Administrative Support:
- Maintain business licenses and records with the Arizona Corporation Commission (AZCC) and other relevant jurisdictions.
- Manage business listings and registrations.
- Improve procurement and tracking systems for supplies, inventory, and inbound shipments.
- Document asset user manuals and service records.
- Curate personnel training certifications and development plans.
- Create various spreadsheets and reports as needed.
- Update records and databases diligently.
- Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, procurement support, contract management, or other business/administrative roles.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in or a strong aptitude for working with platforms such as box.com, QuickBooks Online, AppSheets, Google Sheets, Wix, Amazon, Alibaba, eBay, and other essential business software platforms.
- Work Ethic & Attributes: Detail-oriented, adept at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks, capable of handling confidential information with utmost discretion, able to consistently meet deadlines, and skilled at representing the company professionally to external stakeholders.
- Research & Organization: Exceptional research and organizational skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: High tolerance for constructive conflict and critique, coupled with outstanding problem identification & formulation skills, and a proven ability to participate effectively in co-creative problem solving.
- Proactiveness: A track record of taking initiative and adapting seamlessly to changing work requirements.
- Attitude: A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to excel both independently and within a team environment.
- Education (Plus): An Associate’s Degree in a field related to bookkeeping is a significant plus.
- Personal Experience (Plus): Personal experience in cold plunge therapy is a plus.
Compensation
A well-qualified candidate can expect an annual salary between $68,000 and $88,000 per year, with the final offer depending on prior knowledge, training requirements, and overall experience.

This position does not include health insurance or other traditional benefits, apart from the legal minimum sick leave and paid time off (equal to one hour for every thirty hours worked).
