Dealer Services Specialist II | Manheim
The Tone:
This is a full-time role for a Dealer Services Specialist II at Manheim, a key player in the automotive remarketing industry and part of the larger Cox family of businesses. Manheim operates vehicle auctions that are vital for connecting automotive dealers with inventory. This position is located in Dallas, TX, and is essential for providing top-tier support and service to our dealer clients. The specialist serves as the primary liaison, acting as a crucial “pit crew” member to ensure that every aspect of the dealer’s auction experience runs smoothly and professionally, keeping everything operating like a well-oiled machine from start to finish. You will be instrumental in making auction days successful and even enjoyable for our clients.
The TL;DR

• Pay: $20.10–$30.10 hourly
• Mission: Ensure dealer clients have a smooth, professional, and successful auction experience.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Sales Lane Representation: Act as the primary representative for the dealer sales lane on auction days, ensuring proactive support and client engagement.
• Product and Service Promotion: Actively promote Manheim’s extensive range of products and services, highlighting benefits and opportunities for dealers.
• Vehicle Auction Preparation: Guide and assist dealers in preparing their vehicles effectively for the auction process, optimizing readiness for sale.
• Negotiation and Consultation: Engage in critical activities such as negotiating bids, providing expert consultation on vehicle pricing strategies, and offering valuable reconditioning advice.
• Client Relationship and Problem Solving: Serve as a trusted, friendly point of contact, actively solving problems and providing the reliable support our clients depend on for a successful auction experience.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates are required to hold a high school diploma or GED, coupled with relevant professional experience.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field is necessary. Consideration may also be given to candidates with a different combination of education and experience, such as a degree or certification, or 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective client relationships. Possess the ability to perform at a high level and adapt swiftly within a team environment. Exhibit robust problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach.
• Bonus: Prior experience of 1 to 3 years in an auction environment or 2 to 4 years within a dealership is highly valued. Previous experience in a sales support role is also beneficial, as is the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
