Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Operating Room | Advocate Health

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Advocate Health, located in Charlotte, NC. As a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Operating Room at Levine Children’s Hospital, this role is crucial for providing compassionate, high-quality surgical care to children and families across a wide range of pediatric surgical needs. You will be part of a team committed to teamwork, compassion, and clinical excellence in a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated hospital environment.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Varied schedule with 3, 12-hour day shifts per week, including holiday and weekend rotation.
• Location: Charlotte, NC
• Pay: $38.20–$57.30 hourly
• Team: Pediatric OR Team
• Mission: This role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care for pediatric patients undergoing a full range of surgical procedures in an acute care setting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Care: Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process in an acute care setting.
• Quality & Safety: Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Clinical Practice: Utilize evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to guide patient interventions.
• Collaboration: Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Advocacy: Advocate for patient needs and uphold professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program, qualifying the individual to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, coupled with clinical expertise in an acute care setting.
• Skills: Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
