Accounting Assistant | Lincoln Property Company

This is a full-time role at Lincoln Property Company, located in Boston, MA. This Accounting Assistant position is critical for supporting the daily accounting and administrative needs of the building management office, ensuring efficient and accurate operations that contribute to the company’s overall success in managing its extensive real estate portfolio.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Processing: Code and input invoices and tenant receipts into property management software such as MRI or Yardi Voyager.
• Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare monthly closing reports, including cash verifications, and compile various monthly financial reports.
• File & Record Management: Maintain comprehensive lease, building, certificate of insurance, tenant contact, and emergency contact files, ensuring all records are current and organized.
• Administrative Support: Handle incoming phone calls, manage mail distribution, prepare outgoing mail and packages, and process tenant amenity requests.
• Vendor Coordination: Complete new vendor requests and set-ups, and coordinate vendor after-hours access, including verifying proper insurance coverages.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma required. Early Career professional with foundational understanding.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required, however some experience with property management software (MRI, Yardi Voyager, or similar) is a plus.
• Skills: Advanced communication skills (oral and written); Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe; Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure as a self-starter; Ability to work efficiently both independently and as a team member.
• Bonus: Basic accounting experience is a plus.
