What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and Develop: Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate and Plan: Collaborate with product management to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and contribute to product roadmap planning.
• Lead and Optimize: Lead the design and implementation of new features, ensuring adherence to best practices, and optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure Quality: Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers to foster high code quality and continuous learning.
• Improve Infrastructure: Work with DevOps to establish and improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting for production systems, and troubleshoot complex production issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, with a focus on backend software development, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with proven expertise in at least one modern backend programming language and experience deploying applications on cloud platforms.
• Skills: Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, RESTful API design, data structures, algorithms, software design patterns, and proficiency with version control systems like Git.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in a technical field, experience with message queues and streaming platforms, familiarity with containerization technologies, experience building high-throughput, low-latency systems, or prior experience in FinTech, SaaS, or highly regulated industries.
