What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Lead the design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and performant backend services and APIs for the core platform.
• Develop: Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and well-tested code in Go, Java, or Python, ensuring high quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate: Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver features that meet business needs.
• Evolve: Contribute to the architectural evolution of the platform, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving technical initiatives.
• Mentor: Mentor junior engineers, provide constructive feedback during code reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, with a significant focus on backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, including demonstrated experience designing, building, and operating scalable microservices, and deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Go, Java, or Python; deep understanding of distributed systems concepts (concurrency, parallel processing, fault tolerance, data consistency); proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure); solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis); experience with message queues and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS); excellent problem-solving, analytical, debugging, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bonus: Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, knowledge of system observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack), experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers, open-source contributions, or prior experience working on AI/ML platforms or data-intensive applications.
