What You’ll Actually Do
• Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, frontend engineers, and other teams to define and implement new features and system enhancements.
• Leadership: Lead technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and conduct code reviews to ensure system quality and performance.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and sharing software development best practices.
• Optimization: Enhance existing systems for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness by identifying and resolving bottlenecks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is a senior-level position requiring a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in backend software development, including designing and building RESTful APIs, microservices, and working with distributed systems.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, Go, C#, or Node.js; extensive experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices; solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB); familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, Azure Functions, GKE); experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and fault tolerance; and proficiency with Git.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS); familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes; knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices; experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment; and contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
