What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Design, develop, test, and deploy highly scalable, reliable, and secure platform services using modern software engineering practices.
• Collaborate: Work closely with product management and other engineering teams to define technical requirements and translate them into robust architectural designs.
• Code: Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to established standards, and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Architect: Actively participate in architectural discussions, contributing to the evolution of microservices architecture and cloud infrastructure.
• Resolve: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and bugs across distributed systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, with a strong focus on backend or platform engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on professional experience in software development, with extensive experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures and RESTful APIs, and a track record of mentoring or guiding team members.
• Skills: Proven proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language (Java, Go, Python, or C#); solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems; hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); strong command of Git; and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Bonus: Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., Kafka); familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform); prior experience with frontend technologies (e.g., React); contributions to open-source projects; or experience working in a regulated industry.
