About the Job: Sales Representative (NE) at D.R. Horton, Inc.
D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., founded in 1978 and publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, is seeking a driven Sales Representative for the Nebraska (NE) region. This role is crucial for managing the entire sales process, from initial customer engagement to the finalization of their dream home purchase, all while upholding a standard of excellent customer service. The Sales Representative will be responsible for continuously generating new leads, guiding customers through the home selection and design process, and ensuring a seamless transaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate Value: Effectively articulate D.R. Horton’s unique value proposition, product vision, and home capabilities to prospective customers.
- Understand & Solution: Uncover and comprehend customer goals and challenges, then position D.R. Horton homes as the optimal solution.
- Close Sales: Skillfully overcome objections and close sales to achieve targets.
- Documentation & Accuracy: Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation for all transactions, covering sales, loans, options, and construction details.
- Source Opportunities: Continuously identify and source new sales opportunities.
- Marketing Plan Development: Create and present a comprehensive marketing plan to management for establishing new customer relationships.
- Realtor Networking: Actively network and perform outreach to real estate agents to foster collaborations.
- Time & Team Management: Manage time efficiently, consistently meet sales goals, and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Prospect Database: Maintain and expand a robust database of prospective customers.
- Attend Meetings: Participate in all required sales meetings.
- Professional Conduct: Conduct all business dealings in a professional and ethical manner, aiming to serve customers and enhance the company’s goodwill and profitability.
- Build Rapport: Develop and maintain strong rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and internal team members.
- Ensure Compliance: Execute company policies to ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the sales process.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: Associate’s Degree or a minimum of 2 years of related sales experience.
- Transportation: Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle, with the ability to drive during both daytime and nighttime hours.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to effectively utilize D.R. Horton Sales applications on smartphones, tablets, or laptops.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or via D.R. Horton Sales applications.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email applications.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, kneel, and bend at the waist.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs and on unlevel terrain.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
- Working Conditions: Regular exposure to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensing: Awareness that licensing requirements may vary by state.
- CRM Experience: Prior experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous sales experience, with a preference for knowledge of the homebuilding or real estate industry.
- Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated excellence in intercommunications and interactions.
- Motivation: Strongly self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
