What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure cloud platform services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Lead architectural discussions and technical design for new features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with overall platform strategy.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code, actively participating in code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, DevOps, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, contributing to on-call rotations and improving system observability and reliability.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with a significant focus on cloud platforms or distributed systems.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, including extensive work with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and demonstrable experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in a modern programming language (Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust); solid understanding of distributed systems concepts and microservices architecture; experience with both relational and NoSQL database technologies; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines; excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation; knowledge of networking principles and protocols; familiarity with message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS); contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects; or experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
