Job Description: DOTS Sales Associate

As a DOTS Sales Associate, you will be instrumental in achieving Trek’s mission by delivering incredible hospitality and encouraging more people to embrace cycling. From the moment customers arrive until they leave, you will act as their Guide, helping them achieve their cycling goals, ensuring their bicycles perform optimally, and guaranteeing a great riding experience.

Performance Expectations:

  • Develop sales and hospitality skills through dedicated training, role-playing, and on-the-job experience.
  • Achieve individual monthly and annual sales targets of at least $400,000 per fiscal year for full-time Sales Associates.
  • Continuously learn about bikes, components, apparel, and cycling technology.
  • Actively participate in daily huddles and debriefs to foster team collaboration and improvement.
  • Utilize our Guide Sales Process to consistently provide customers with incredible hospitality.
  • Proactively follow through on Quotes and Lead List communications to nurture customer relationships.
  • Make thoughtful decisions that prioritize customer care and always “do the right thing” for our customers.
  • Maintain Trek University Guide Status by completing Trek U modules to enhance your knowledge of our products, services, and procedures.
  • When not directly assisting customers, you will contribute to store operations by:
    • Completing Daily Task List assignments.
    • Maintaining all aspects of store merchandising according to visual merchandising standards, including product placement, price auditing, and product re-stocking.
    • Completing weekly Cycle Counts to ensure accurate inventory.
    • Assembling, or pre-assembling, new bicycles with precision and care.
    • Prepping customer bikes for service by our Service or Production Technicians.
