Regional Associate | William Blair
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at William Blair, a premier global partnership specializing in investment banking, investment management, and private wealth management. The firm provides trusted advice, strategies, and solutions to clients across various asset classes and markets. This role is an integral part of the world-class Investment Management team, serving as a central point of contact for clients and colleagues. The Regional Associate directly contributes to the success of the sales team by proactively expanding the brand and developing meaningful relationships with financial advisors.
The TL;DR

• Pay: $65000–$85000 yearly

• Mission: Proactively contact prospects to expand the brand, develop meaningful business relationships with financial advisors, and qualify them for further engagement.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Establish Relationships: Work in conjunction with a Regional Director to establish new client relationships through proactive calling and email outreach.
• Deepen Relationships: Apply a consultative sales approach to prospect and deepen relationships with RIA’s, family offices, banks, wire house, and B/D financial advisors.
• Drive Outreach: Participate in targeted outreach campaigns and contribute to National Accounts initiatives to support broader sales objectives.
• Manage Territory: Strategically collaborate with the team to contribute innovative and entrepreneurial ideas for effective territory management.
• Maintain Data: Consistently utilize Salesforce CRM for prospecting preparation, logging client communications, and maintaining thorough knowledge of assigned territory goals, pipeline, and key clients.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required, with prior work experience in a sales capacity, preferably within the financial services industry, and a demonstrated interest in learning investment products.
• Experience: Prior sales experience is required, along with the ability to obtain Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses within 90 days of the start date.
• Skills: Superior communication skills (written and verbal), dedication to detail and follow-up, a positive attitude, high personal initiative, and the ability to work both individually and cooperatively.
