Civil Engineer | CORRE, Inc.
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at CORRE, Inc., with opportunities for in-office design work, in-field construction inspection, or a combination of both, primarily based in Wisconsin. CORRE, Inc. builds significant infrastructure projects, focusing on critical roadway design and construction oversight. What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Oversight: Oversee roadway design and construction projects from inception to completion.
• Field Compliance: Provide direct oversight for projects in the field, ensuring compliance and quality standards are met.
• Design Preparation: Utilize civil engineering software, specifically AutoCAD Civil 3D, to prepare detailed design plans.
• Engineering Calculations: Perform various engineering calculations accurately and efficiently.
• Project Support: Support senior engineers with daily tasks across multiple disciplined projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: Engineer in Training (EIT) designation or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam prior to the start date. Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software for calculating earthwork on construction projects, with academic experience being acceptable.
• Skills: A solid understanding of AASHTO and ASCE standards and policies. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to provide own reliable transportation. Ability to travel, which may include long drive times, overnight trips, and working in rural or urban areas. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States upon start of employment and be available for night work, weekends, and flexible scheduling.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and local agency procedures is considered a significant plus.
